AI in Medical Imaging: Hope, Hype or Harm?

This presentation will explain the “Hope, Hype or Harm” of Artificial Intelligence in medical Imaging.
Hope：AI is one of the most important things humanity is working on. It is more profound than, I don’t know, electricity or fire. (Sundar Pichai – CEO, Google)
Machine learning and AI… will empower and improve every business, every government organization, every philanthropy – basically there’s no institution in the world that cannot be improved with machine learning. (Jeff Bezos – CEO, Amazon)
Hype: In late 2016 Prof Geoffrey Hinton, the godfather of neural networks, said that it’s “quite obvious that we should stop training radiologists” as image perception algorithms are very soon going to be demonstrably better than humans. Radiologists are, he said, “the coyote already over the edge of the cliff who hasn’t yet looked down”.
Harm: Nov 3, 2017 - The overwhelming hype of artificial intelligence in radiology, not to mention medicine in general, is Nauseating (作呕的) . ... His statement, “We should stop training radiologists right now!”. ... Lets also assume that their neural network deep-learning algorithms, were also as ... Disgusting (讨厌) !

本次报告将会解释医学影像学中人工智能的希望、炒和危害。
关于希望：
Google的首席执行官 Sundar Pichai曾说“人工智能是人类正在研究的最重要的东西之一。甚至可能比电和火更重要”。亚马逊的首席执行官Jeff Bezos也曾说机器学习和人工智能增强和提高每一个企业、政府机构和慈善组织，基本上世界上没有任何机构不能通过机器学习得到改善。
关于炒作：
在2016年底，因为图像感知算法很快就要超越人类，神经网络教父Geoffrey Hinton说“显然我们得停止培养放射科医师”。他说，放射科医师正如“已经爬到悬崖却浑然不知的土狼”。
关于伤害：
2017年11月3日，放射学领域人工智能炒作已经铺天盖地，更别提大的医学领域，这是令人作呕的。Geoffrey Hinton又说“我们得即刻停止培养放射科医师！”。让我们来假定他们的神经网络深度学习算法也一样令人讨厌吧！
