Welcome to PPCRKB
PPCRKB(Postoperative Pulmonary Complications Risk Knowledge Base) is a manually
curated database of risk factors associated with postoperative pulmonary complications
(PPC).
PPCRKB covers and integrates risk factors for different types of PPC such as respiratory
failure, atelectasis, pneumonia, pleural effusion, pneumothorax and ARDS. These risk
factors are classified into the following eleven categories based on their characteristics:
habit and behavior, surgical factors, anaesthetic factors, auxiliary examination, environ-
mental factors, clinical status, medicines and treatment, demographic characteristics,
psychosocial factors, genetic factors and other factors.
The PPCRKB will help researchers and clinicians better understand the occurrence and
development of PPC and provide new methods for PPC prevention,treatment and
prognosis.
