The 7th International Bioinformatics Workshop

Welcome to IBW2009, which will be organized by Soochow University, in Suzhou, China, from June 19th to 21st, 2009. This workshop will cover the top subjects on computational genomics, computational proteomics, computational systems biology and biological data mining. The annual International Bioinformatics Workshop(IBW) continues the series of six previous workshops, which took place at Fudan University, Shanghai (2003), Tsinghua University, Beijing(2004), Jilin University, Changchun(2005), Central South University, Changsha(2006),Shandong University, Shandong (2007) and Yunnan University, Kunming(2008). The workshop aims at scientific communication for researchers at the cutting edge of progress in bioinformatics and related research fields. The first two days of the workshop (June 19-20) will involve invited presentations, given by leading professionals from China, USA, Canada and other countries, and report the latest research findings in bioinformatics and computational biology. The third day of the workshop (June 21) will be for contributed presentations and provide a friendly and flexible environment for researchers from all over the world to exchange their ideas and improve the cooperation.
Like the previous meeting, this year's IBW meeting will have a 5-day "tutorial" from 14th to 18th June, named the dragon-star teaching project completely supported by NSFC of China ( http://dragonstar.ict.ac.cn ), and taught by Prof. Liang Jie. This will be a great opportunity for students and junior teacher to attend.
