The web framework of the ORMCKB has six components, including homepage, browse, seach, statistics, submit and help.
The "Home" page provides the following information: 1) A brief introduction about ORMCKB. 2) Statistical results of information that has been collected. 3) Flowcharts for data collection and data generation. 4) How to contact us. 5) The news about ORMCKB database.
There is a navigation bar on the left on "Browse" page(Figure 1A): "Microbiota" are classified according to taxonomy; "Diseases" are divided into three categories: oral-related diseases, systemic diseases and other diseases. "Intervention" is divided into six categories: treatment effect, drug effect, food & drinking (dietary differences), smoking effect, age differences and others. "Bacteriostat" is classified according to the type of active ingredients: extracts, compounds and other ingredients. Every result in the overview contains the following data: related publication ID(PMID), microbe/taxonomy name, related disease, intervention, quantity variance (reduced or elevated), detailed information of each items can be acquired by clicking the "Details" button at the end of the entry.(Figure 1B)

ORMCKB can be searchable by using the microbe name, disease name (abbreviation) or intervention name. When you input onto more than 1 search box, these keywords will be automatically combined with the Boolean operator 'AND’(Figure 2A). Corresponding results will be generated in the right window after you click the "Sumbit" button. You can download the result in 3 forms (Figure 2B).

ORMCKB also provides data statistics result.In most charts, you can move the mouse over the chart to see the specific values.In the pie chart, you can click the button on the top right to select which data to view.
ORMCKB provides a concise and operational page to submit oral microbiota data, please upload it on the "Submit" page. The data you submit will be update to ORMCKB once we approved, and please don't forget to write down your email address for further contact.
